PERSONALIZED SUPPORT CLOSE TO HOME

Experienced Birth Support for Lakeville Families

Preparing for birth can be exciting, overwhelming, and full of questions—sometimes all before breakfast. You may be wondering what labor will feel like, how your partner can help, what choices you will have, or how to prepare for the unexpected.

As a Lakeville birth doula, I provide personalized prenatal preparation, practical education, and continuous support throughout labor. Together, we will explore your priorities, prepare your body and partner, and create flexible birth preferences that reflect what matters most to you.

Whether you are planning an unmedicated birth, considering an epidural, preparing for an induction, hoping for a VBAC, or simply keeping your options open, my role is to help you feel informed, supported, and confident throughout your experience.

Support Designed Around You

No two families—or births—are exactly alike. Your doula support should reflect your pregnancy, your preferences, your birth setting, and the kind of care that helps you feel most confident.

During our prenatal time together, we will talk through your hopes, questions, concerns, and previous experiences. We will prepare your partner with practical tools, explore comfort measures and labor positions, and discuss how to communicate your preferences while remaining flexible if plans change.

Your support may include:

• Personalized prenatal appointments

• Birth preferences and informed decision-making

• Body Ready Method® assessment and movement plan

• Hands-on comfort measures and labor positions

• Practical preparation for your partner

• Continuous support throughout labor and birth

• A postpartum follow-up visit

You do not need to have every decision made before contacting a doula. We will prepare together so you can approach birth with greater clarity, confidence, and practical tools.

PREPARATION, EDUCATION & LABOR SUPPORT

How I Support You

Doula support begins during pregnancy—not when contractions start. We will prepare your body, your partner, and your birth preferences so you have practical tools and experienced support for whatever path your labor takes.

Personalized Birth Preparation: During our prenatal appointments, we will discuss your goals, concerns, birth setting, comfort preferences, and questions. You will receive practical education tailored to your pregnancy and the kind of birth you are preparing for.

Body Ready Method® Preparation: An individualized assessment, functional movement, and pregnancy-safe exercises help support mobility, pelvic balance, and comfort. We will also practice positions you can use throughout labor.

Partner Preparation: Your partner will learn hands-on comfort measures, position changes, emotional reassurance, and practical ways to stay confidently involved—without feeling like they are expected to remember an entire childbirth textbook.

Continuous Labor Support: During labor, I provide steady emotional support, comfort measures, movement and position suggestions, and help you communicate questions and preferences to your medical team.

Whether your birth includes an epidural, induction, unmedicated labor, cesarean, or an unexpected change of plans, you will continue to receive thoughtful, experienced support.

BODY READY METHOD®

Preparing Your Body for Labor

As a certified Body Ready Method® Pro, I incorporate individualized movement and body preparation into our prenatal work together.

We may explore pelvic balance, mobility, comfortable movement patterns, and positions that create space for your baby to rotate and descend. You and your partner will also practice positions and hands-on techniques you can use during different stages of labor.

Body preparation cannot guarantee a VBAC or prevent a cesarean. It can give you practical tools for comfort and mobility while helping you feel more prepared for the physical work of labor.

Your preparation may include:

• An individualized Body Ready Method® assessment

• Functional movement and mobility

• Pelvic balance and position awareness

• Labor positions for different parts of the pelvis

• Hands-on comfort techniques for your partner

• A personalized prenatal movement plan

Meet Your Lakeville Doula

I’m Terri, a DONA-Certified Birth Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator, Hypnobabies® Certified Doula, VBAC Link® Certified Doula, and Body Ready Method® Pro.

Since beginning my work as a doula in 2018, I have supported hundreds of families through many different kinds of births, including unmedicated births, epidurals, inductions, VBACs, planned and unplanned cesareans, and births that unfolded differently than expected.

My approach combines evidence-based education, personalized body preparation, practical partner coaching, and experienced hands-on labor support. I bring a calm, steady presence while helping you understand your options and feel confident making decisions that are right for your family.

You do not need to prepare for birth alone—or have every detail figured out before reaching out. We will prepare intentionally, remain flexible, and make sure both you and your partner have practical tools for the day you meet your baby.
